Founded in 2004, CSN Boston currently hosts two music benefit showcases each year highlighting female singer/songwriters (and sometimes an "Are You Man Enough" feature).

Thanks to our many generous supporters, these fundraising events have enabled CSN Boston to donate ~$25,000 in the past fourteen years to support music programs in the Boston-area.

SANDY SPENCE (Chelmsford, MA)


A Chelmsford natie, Sandy Spence started her musical career at the age of 13 opening for Rex Trailer at a local benefit for Muscular Dystrophy. Singing and playing guitar at the function, Rex gave her his blessing which was the inspiration for a career in performance. In her teens, influenced by Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Carly Simon, Spence was playing at various clubs by the age of 17. Sandy has shared the stage with Bob Martin, Charlie Sawyer, Jonathan Edwards, Jon Butcher, Joan Baez, and many national acts. "A Dream Come True Career".

MARISSA MICHAELA (Billerica, MA)


Marissa Michaela is a 17-year old jazz/gospel vocalist from the Boston area. She has been a singer for the Beantown Swing Orchestra for the past year and she was named as a finalist in the Berklee High School Jazz Festival Solo Singer Competition. She has sung at venues such as Fenway Park, NASCAR, and even back-up for Barry Manilow at the Boston Garden. In the Fall, she will attend Suffolk University and study Business Management.

JILLIAN DAWN (Mansfield, MA)

Jillian Dawn is a young singer/songwriter from Mansfield, MA currently studying music at the University of Miami. She has recorded two orginal EP's. Her writing style is influenced by artists like Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, and Taylor Swift. Jillian has twice performed the National Anthem at the TD Garden and recently placed second in the New England Songwriting Competition for her song "Sober Thoughts". Her music is on all streaming services and social media.

COLLEEN NICHOLAS (Arlington, MA)

Colleen Nicholas is a solo artist/singer in the Greater Boston Area focusing on creative music covers including the genres of pop, jazz, R&B, soul, funk and much more. Colleen performs regularly within the Boston area and is vocally trained in the Jeannie Deva Method. She has also trained in the music program at UMass Lowell. AttiK is a progressive rock band featuring Karl Haberl on guitar, Jeff Hardy on drums, and Jack Reid on bass and enjoys playing music in their own unique way, and sharing that sense of joy and fun with friends both new and old, in all kinds of venues. Their mission is to bring the visual and performing arts to Chelmsford and surrounding towns by providing a venue for active engagement as a participant or audience member.
