Founded in 2004, CSN Boston currently hosts two music benefit showcases each year highlighting female singer/songwriters (and sometimes an "Are You Man Enough" feature).

Thanks to our many generous supporters, these fundraising events have enabled CSN Boston to donate ~$25,000 in the past fourteen years to support music programs in the Boston-area.

Jennifer Truesdale is a singer, songwriter, vocal coach and music career coach in Boston, Massachusetts. A graduate of Berkelee College of Music and a 20+ year veteran of the music industry, she performs regularly with many of the top musicians on the East Coast. Jennifer is a published songwriter, who has written, produced and performed on recordings for major network television shows. In addition to her performing career, Jennifer is a professional vocal coach and music career coach and has worked with hundreds of singers, helping each to achieve their own personal goals. Jennifer recently authored a book entitled, Get Paid To Sing! The Singer's Guide to Making a Living Making Music.


Marcia J. Macres is a fiery redhead that hails from a large musical family in Dallas, TX that performed regularly in four-part harmony at church and local community events. As a teen, Marcia found her passion in competitive a cappella choirs and then shifted to local community choruses when she moved to Boston in the late 80's. Marcia enjoys singing lead vocals with Boston-based jazz band "Jazz Punishers" and harmonies with other local music projects. When she's not singing, she is simplifying marketing for small businesses with her own marketing consulting business called "Marketing by Marcia".

JESSE B. (Chelmsford, MA)

Jesse B. is a singer/songwriter from Chelmsford, Ma specializing in acoustic soft rock music. In October of 2017, Jesse released her debut EP In Limbo. The collection of 5 songs is rooted in Jesse’s vocals and acoustic guitar, with a lyrical nature encapsulating uncertainty and impermanence. Jesse continues to work on new music to be released in 2019, as well as continuing to play shows at clubs and bars in the greater Boston area.


ELLA GRACE (Arlington, MA)

Ella Grace is a sixteen year old singer-songwriter from Arlington, MA. She has been singing her entire life; picking up guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass along the way. Her most recent love is songwriting, and she is excited to be in the process of recording a CD of her original songs.


CYNTHIA E. (Malden, MA)

Cynthia E. was born into a Christian musical family in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and singing Gospel music has always been a big part of her life. At the age of twelve, she moved to the Dominican Republic where she finished high school and started college. She directed the children’s choir and a small group at her home church in DR. At age nineteen she moved to the US and MA has been her home since. Cynthia enjoys singing, writing, and learning how to play the guitar and hopes to record an album and win a grammy one day.

RICH PODGUR - "R U Man Enough?" feature (Concord, MA)

Rich Podgur is the singer/songwriter from the roots rock band The Low In Between. They recently released their debut record Apart, a solid and consistent ten song culmination of courage, misery, love, and misfires put to music. Net proceeds from this 11/18/18 show will help support a gender enrichment program at Tutoring Plus of Cambridge called Girls' Media, a 10-week program for middle school girls to explore identity, healthy relationships, media representations of gender and race, and more. Learn more at
